Marketing Practices
Last Updated: March 16, 2025
Gold Scepter Finances LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to transparent and responsible marketing practices. This document describes how we communicate with consumers, the channels we use, and your choices regarding marketing communications.
1. Marketing Communications We Send
We may send you marketing communications through the following channels:
- Email: Promotional emails about our loan products, special offers, and financial tips. We may also send transactional emails related to your application or account.
- Telephone: Calls regarding your loan application or to offer loan-related products and services. We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and state telemarketing laws.
- Text Messages (SMS/MMS): Text messages about your application status or promotional offers. Message and data rates may apply. We obtain your consent before sending marketing text messages.
- Direct Mail: Postal mail regarding our services and offers.
- Online Advertising: We may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver relevant advertisements on our website and on third-party websites.
2. How We Obtain Your Consent
We obtain your consent for marketing communications in the following ways:
- When you submit a loan application, you may be asked to consent to receive communications from us and our partner lenders.
- We use clear, conspicuous language when requesting consent. Consent is not required to submit an application or purchase our services.
- For text messages, we obtain prior express written consent as required by the TCPA.
- For email marketing, we comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and include an unsubscribe option in every marketing email.
3. Partner Lenders and Third-Party Marketing
When you submit a loan application through our platform, we share your information with lenders in our network. These lenders may contact you directly regarding your application and may send you their own marketing communications. Each lender has its own privacy policy and marketing practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any lender that contacts you.
We may also share your information with marketing partners who assist us in reaching potential customers. Such sharing is disclosed in our Privacy Policy. California residents may opt out of the "sale" of their personal information through our Do Not Sell page.
4. Opting Out of Marketing Communications
You may opt out of our marketing communications at any time:
- Email: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or visit our Unsubscribe page.
- Text Messages: Reply STOP to any text message from us. You may also text HELP for assistance.
- Telephone: Tell the representative that you wish to be placed on our Do Not Call list. You may also contact us at [email protected] or +1 970 4063551.
- Direct Mail: Contact us to request removal from our direct mail list.
Please note that opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of transactional communications, such as those related to your loan application or account. It may take up to 10 business days to process your opt-out request.
5. Do Not Call Registry
We respect the National Do Not Call Registry. If your telephone number is registered on the Do Not Call list, we will not contact you for telemarketing purposes unless you have given us prior express written consent or have an established business relationship with us. You may register your number at donotcall.gov.
6. Truthful and Non-Deceptive Advertising
We are committed to truthful and non-deceptive advertising. We do not:
- Make false or misleading claims about our loan products or services
- Use deceptive subject lines or headers in emails
- Misrepresent loan terms, rates, or fees
- Imply that we are a direct lender when we are a loan comparison platform
- Use pressure tactics or create a false sense of urgency
7. Compliance with Laws
We comply with applicable federal and state laws governing marketing and communications, including:
- Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
- CAN-SPAM Act
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
- State telemarketing and consumer protection laws
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), where applicable
